Graduated from the University of Cambridge with a MSc in Natural Sciences.
Joined Costello Medical as a Public Health Intern, before successfully interviewing for the Analyst role.
I was hugely excited to become one of the founding members of the new Literature Reviews and Synthesis Team, where my role specialised in literature reviews and meta-analyses. In the same year, I was promoted to Senior Analyst.
Promoted to Consultant.
I took on responsibility for the Literature Reviews and Synthesis Team whilst the Head of the team was on maternity leave, which gave me a wide variety of new responsibilities including business development, team planning and improving the team’s financial performance, at the same time as delivering high quality work to our clients.
In the same year, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
This was also the year that I took on my first real-world evidence project in collaboration with my colleagues in Singapore. I really loved this project and quickly decided that this was where I wanted to focus my future career.
I was promoted to Senior Consultant and took on the responsibility of Real-World Evidence Lead.
In February, I relocated to our new office in Boston as one of the founding members of this new team. I am really excited about this fantastic opportunity to build up our Evidence Development and Real-World Evidence service offerings in the US!
In the same year, the Real-World Evidence Team was launched and I took on the role of Head of Real-World Evidence. We have team members in the UK, US and Singapore.
After taking some time out for maternity leave, I decided to focus on leading the RWE team in the US, which allowed for other amazing colleagues to step into Regional Team Head roles in the UK and APAC.
Shortly after this, we kicked off our first multi-centre retrospective study in the US, collaborating with hospitals across the country to collect and analyse data on a rare disease treatment.
Alongside my regular client work, I launched an internal research project which uses a huge database of anonymised medical records from community hospitals across the US to explore questions about health equity. As well as this project offering me the chance to do interesting and impactful work, this is a really exciting opportunity for me to develop my own technical skills. Before starting this project, I undertook several courses in data manipulation and analysis so I can get hands-on with the data alongside our Epidemiologists and Statisticians. After 10 years at Costello Medical, I am still able to pursue my interests and learn new skills every day.
