Graduated with a BA in Graphic Design from Anglia Ruskin University in 2012.
I joined Costello Medical’s Creative Team as a Digital Designer, bringing with me 7 years of professional experience. I was trusted to independently manage a large digital pro bono project, where I created an engaging website for The Brain Tumour Charity. Using my self-taught skills in front-end development, I was responsible for both the wireframing and full development of the website.
This achievement accelerated my swift promotion to Senior Digital Designer in October 2020, where I continued to develop my project management and client communication skills.
I was excited to line manage our first Digital Design Intern, supporting their training and personal development. While continuing to work on a variety of website and web app projects, as well as improving the delivery of our HTML email campaigns to clients, I was enrolled onto a company-funded SEO training course to further elevate our in-house expertise. Alongside this, I began learning more about back-end development, equipping me with the skills and knowledge to support the conception of our new Technical Innovation and Development Team. This was instrumental in recruiting a skilled team of developers, increasing our resource for all internal web applications.
In October 2021, I was promoted to the role of Digital Design Consultant, which allowed me to focus on building a strong Digital team and broadening our service offerings to clients.
Focusing on both business development and day-to-day design work, I was able to build trusted partnerships with clients, winning new and exciting projects for the Digital team to work on. The satisfaction of turning competitive pitches into wins was really motivating. I joined our new internal-facing Client Engagement team, supporting business development across the company and providing strategic input on our marketing activities, all while leading the Costello Medical website strategy.
In January 2024, I was promoted to the role of Consultant – Digital Design Lead, which gave me greater autonomy in recruitment, financial planning, and setting the overall direction of the Digital team. I am now responsible for shaping the ultimate strategy for the Digital team and line managing seven talented designers (for now!). This year, we have successfully researched, negotiated, and onboarded new industry-leading digital marketing software to automate key processes and inform data-driven decisions.
As our digital and marketing services continue to expand rapidly, so do our ambitions, and I can’t wait to see how the team evolves!
